Ladies and gentlemen, the Double Dominant Production Studio lands in America and more specifically in Manhattan, New York City, where he spent the entire month of March.
In this land of great expectations we bring to a dream: to record the sound of an entire city!
We can imagine the metropolis as a huge musical instrument, or better still cut off as a choir made up of many different voices. The New York Voices project aims to capture their voices be it of environmental sounds rather than music.
How? Thanks to a set-up the laptop, but made very powerful by:
- a Zoom H4, a sound card laptop, complete with two microphone capsules, two-channel amplifier and analog to digital converters;
- a pair of electret microphones headsets Soundman (these tiny microphones are worn as normal headphones, but instead of reproducing sound capture them on the threshold of the ear canals of the wearer, giving back a stereo panorama incredibly realistic and detailed);
- a pair of condenser microphones AKG C414B (these famous microphones variable polar pattern allows you to shoot and faithfully incredibly detailed even under extreme dynamic sound with very weak or very strong vice versa). Anyone interested
